Oscar Murillo: Unfinished thinking: Paintings and Social Maps

Paris: 108, Rue Vieille du Temple

October 19–December 23, 2026

David Zwirner is pleased to announce an exhibition of paintings by Oscar Murillo (b. 1986) at the gallery’s Paris location, Unfinished thinking: Paintings and Social Maps.

Murillo writes:

Speed of flight, 600mph, the sea, geographies, terrain.

Labor! repetition, people, many, more public, more people, profound statements

buried—utterance of love, protest, an emoji, a sea of marks, condensed time—the harnessing

of thoughts, energies, spirits, all manifestations in color. frenetically! Awareness of places.

Time defaults thought into a stream of unconscious scores.

Scars of people as well as terrain... surface residue, euphoric emotion, color, line, more

scars, Colombia, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Philippines, UK, Poland, Germany so much

more—the collective is a field of Spirits.

Perpetually.  Julia Lukacher jlukacher@davidzwirner.com
