Art Basel Paris

David Zwirner is pleased to participate in Art Basel Paris. On booth B22, the gallery is presenting two new three-panel, large-scale edition works by Gerhard Richter. Also on view at the gallery’s booth will be major works by Ruth Asawa, Marlene Dumas, On Kawara, Joan Mitchell, and Bridget Riley, among others.

Concurrently, in October David Zwirner will present an exhibition of work by renowned German artist Gerhard Richter at the gallery’s Paris location. This marks the artist’s third show with David Zwirner since the announcement of his representation in 2023, following solo presentations at the gallery’s locations in New York (2023) and London (2024). On view will be new works on paper, as well as multiple important and distinct bodies of painted work by Richter from the 1990s to the 2010s, including photo paintings, Abstrakte Bilder (Abstract Paintings), and reflective glass installations.

The exhibition coincides with a major retrospective of the artist’s work curated by Nicholas Serota and Dieter Schwarz, at the Fondation Louis Vuitton. This retrospective will be on view October 17, 2025–March 3, 2026.
