David Zwirner is pleased to participate in this year’s edition of Frieze New York with a solo booth featuring American artist Sherrie Levine (b. 1947). Levine’s work engages many of the core tenets of postmodern art, in particular challenging notions of originality, authenticity, and identity. At the fair, the gallery will debut a new series of paintings alongside historical and recent works by Levine that question abstraction through modes of appropriation. The artist will be the subject of a solo exhibition, Sherrie Levine: 1977–1988, on view at the Aspen Art Museum from June 6 to September 29, 2025.
