About the Opportunity:

Tax Specialist | $146,058 - $160,000/yr.

• Coordinate and support tax accounting, compliance and reporting activities for David Zwirner commercial fine art gallery (“DZ”) and owners. • Ensure efficient and accurate migration of accounting data from accounting software to ERP and tax software systems (OneSource, Avalara, Sage Intacct). • Analyze and interpret accounting records in support of preparation/review of tax returns for DZ’s US headquarters, subsidiaries and owners. • Research technical tax issues and prepare internal reports documenting basis for tax accounting positions. • Ensure accurate accounting and tax calculations in accordance with GAAP, ASC 740, IFRS and local regulations. • Ensure compliance with sales and use tax reporting and filing obligations in U.S. jurisdictions per Wayfair decision. • Advise on tax accounting implications of cross-border transactions involving DZ entities in multiple countries with focus on optimizing transfer pricing and managing foreign currency exchange impacts. • Monitor U.S. legislative and regulatory changes and assess potential impact on gallery’s tax position. • Ensure tax strategies remain compliant and optimized. • Responsible for individual tax planning for high net worth stakeholders. • Liaise and collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors. • Required: Masters in Accountancy; 3 years experience for global multi-entity commercial art gallery. • Travel 1-2 weeks per year to other gallery locations (domestic and international). • May participate in hybrid/flexible employment according to company policy (currently 4 days per week in the office; subject to change).
