As part of a series of shows opening across Europe, Hand Painted Signs, Photographs, Long Play Vinyl, Audiophile Bar, Printed Matter focuses on Christopher Williams’ pictorial works, featuring photography and moving image. Centered around a reading of The Perimeter’s collection, Williams presents a selection of subject matter spanning his conceptual practice, including hand painted signs, photographs, films, a radio play, catalogue and open letter.
This exhibition marks the artists’ first public solo exhibition in London after 10 years, following his presentation at the Whitechapel Gallery in 2015. Accompanying the exhibition will be a catalogue titled, Christopher Williams: Photographs produced by The Perimeter, designed by the artist and Petra Hollenbach, including a text by art historian Dr. Stephanie Schwartz.
