Julia Rommel (b. 1980) has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Standard (Oslo) (2025); MASSIMODECARLO Pièce Unique, Paris (2024); Bureau, New York (2024); and the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield, Connecticut (2015). Her work is in numerous public collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, Buffalo; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; the Kistefos Museum, Jevnaker; and the Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo. She received her MFA from American University in Washington, DC.
